What motor?

Hopefully buying a T2 shell soon. so iam trying to figure out what motor to drop in. Should i go get a t2 motor, or should i build an NA motor. This car is going to be a drift car, i want to make anywhere from 200 to 250 to the wheels but i want the thing to not be braking down every 2 weeks. Or maybe i could get a build fc motor from soemwhere. I really dont have a clue which way to go and some help would be good. thanks.

Drifting? Of course it will be breaking down every two weeks XD.

Anyways, t2 motors are reliable if properly maintained.

i would spend anywhere from 1 to 2gs on a motor. So iam not looking for anything crazy. Bottom line iam trying to see if i should go Na or turbo rotory. If i go Na can i make 250 rwhp? or would the turbo route be easier? also where should i get the motor from?

It would probably be easier to just get a TII motor get a fresh rebuild with some porting, depending on the port you should be able to hit your goal no problem I would imagine. If you really want to go n/a a bridgeport would probably be the way to go but I have no idea how much that would be(money wise) in comparison to the turbo motor.

You wont make more than 200whp on an NA, and thats with a big street port. But from first hand experience, you don't need a turbo to drift. I have enough power in my GTUs to drift just fine.

TII - less headaches, more fun. Building an NA with your power in mind would involve quite a bit of porting $$$ labour wise, make it less reliable, less efficient, less driveable, and give you less options in the future. Compare the number of threads of going turbo in NA with the opposite...there's a reason for that.

I'm NA for now...

Theres lots of places online that sell them used and rebuilt. Or you can check the classifieds section at the bottom of the forum.
