What mods will make an s5 turbo creep???

My car is an 87 t2

Right now I get no creep. Its steady at 6psi in any gear at all speeds. Now that it is colder I have seen a solid 7psi and then it drops back to 6psi (wierd). I have a full RB turbo exhaust, completely stock intake with paper filter...

-3" rb turbo back
-Upgraded compressor (2.75" inlet, from a Grand National)
-Stock s5 wastegate (unported)
-Walbro
-SAFC tuned
-autometer boost guage

I bought a Greddy FMIC kit, just waiting for it to arive. I also bought piping and large K&N conicle style filter, all of which will bolt right up to the turbo.

Im just wondering what boost pressure I am going to run with these mods. Will porting the s5 wastegate help keep the boost down?? I have a manual boost controller sitting in my room if I ever want to crank it up.

My goal is to run 10psi off this turbo, complete intake and exhaust, FMIC, injectors, Haltech e6k, and hopefully have 250 hp at the wheels.

chances are they already ported it when they upgraded the compresser. it's common to clip the exhuast wheel as well which will lower creep.

6 psi with the RB is crazy.. with a stock turbo it would be at 9/10.

anyways here's my mod / creep list

I really have no idea if this turbo is ported or not... I always thought 6psi was a little low, but HEY! Its totally fine with me!!! I can always use my mbc!

OK how are you running 9psi with your current mods if you were running 11psi with less mods???? Did you port the w/g??

Scott I hope my greddy fmic will lower boost like your custom fmic did on yours.

I like the idea of low pressure boost on a rotary engine and still have 240+ hp.

This just shows how restrictive the stock intake box is.
Do you have the boost solenois connected?&nbsp At the very least, "stock" boost should be 7.5psi as controlled by the stock ECU...

Ted, my car is an 87 tII so the wastegate vac line is connected right to the nipple at the turbo's outlet.
