I do not have a lot of money to dump on the 7 but I know it needs exhausr work and stuff like that.

I have a buddy who has his own muffler business so he can do anything I want. I do not want to start removing all kinds of cats and stuff because I went thru all that with my 1st 2 gen 1 RX7s .

I want to get more power out of it thogh.

what mods can I do and what kind of power can I get from it.

I want to bring the 88 up to 89 power levels at least and still pass smog test.

uhh... you could get intake which you could switch easy and poss smog still. as for exhaust you could get headers and mufflers but leave the cats in

 

how would upgrading the intake cause him not to pass emissions? what about replacing the cats with a high flow and adding a cat back to that?

 

I think he meant that I could replace intake easy and pass smog test after.
