Hi,

I am new to the world of RX-7's and wondered if someone could tell me what model mine is. it was first registered in 1986 and is a non turbo.

I dont know much else about it but can look if more info is required. I want to buy a new exhaust for it and dont want to buy the wrong one..

sunroof?
4 lug or 5 lug?
what type of seats?
power windows?
adjustable suspension?

 

How about you read Icemark's first stickied post on the top of this section?

 

trying looking on the driver side door it will tell you what model but it seems like you have a gxl

 

It has sunroof, elec windows, non adjustable suspension. the seats are velor (if thats what you mean)

I have looked at thread by iceman and all that tells me is that its a gen 2 is that all i need to know? do all gen2 models have the same exhaust system???? Can i blank off second smaller pipe coming from mainfold???

 

It's possible it could be a GXL... but just by him telling us that it's an "86 non-turbo" you cannot just assume that it's a GXL. We need more information about the car.

 

all s4 na exhausts are the same so all you need to know is the year and that its a non turbo to get a new exhaust and you can block that small pipe off its for emissions but if your gonna block it off you might as well remove the acv and air pump

 

Euro models are not listed in the specifications section yet.

But all exhausts use the same hangers regardless of engine. If you have a non turbo, all non turbos use the same exhausts.
