What model of 1990 RX-7 is this?

Can anyone tell with the pic of the cluster what model this 1990 RX-7 is? Just curious, because most of the 2nd GEN rx-7's show redline at 7k, not 8k.

Thanks,
Chris

My bad, but they go up to 95? This would be my first attempt with a mazda, let alone a rotary motor.

95? the FC3S stopped production at 1992.... in FAQ

but that is a S5 89-91 NA

the 7k redline is generally a Turbo II model

look at my TII cluster in my pic

Sir, I'm new here, but I think you are incorrect. I just purchased an 89, which according to you would be an S-5, and my gauge reads 9k. Just making an observation that you don't know!

that's definitely an NA. The turbo would have a boost meter in place of the voltmeter and the redline would be 7000rpm.

OK here it is:

series 5 n/a with manual transmitions had a 9k tach with a 8k redline

turbos and automatic transmitions had a 8k tach with a 7k redline.

Thats it.

Non Turbo, manual tranny 89-91 models have a 8000 RPM redline

All others have a 7000 RPM redline

Like the posts above were saying, S5 N/A manual tranny have a 9K tach with an 8K redline. Your car is an 89 making it an S5, and since it has no turbo it's an N/A.

most people talk about the redline

no one really cares how high the tach goes... cuz in general u can use that rage.....

so turbo 7000 redline, S5 NA 8000 redline...
