what is the max power a stock AFM on s5 can make.

I just came from the Dyno and ither my non excisting TID mod (will do one asap.) and or my AFM is to restrictive .. the Apexi filter was looking as about to implode, so i took it of and got 18kw more of power .. but i still could not suck enugh air into the turbo to make good boost ..

I will add a map sensor to my setup and tune my emanage useing that .. but i still will have to have a afm so the ecu will function normaly .. (i think)

what is the max power a stock AFM on s5 can take. ?
and what afm is a good replacement that will work with the stock ECU ?

/bo, ~190 rwhp at 6500rpm and 0.6bar boost

if you put a voltmeter on the afm you can tell when its 100% open. on the na s5 this happens around 7k rpms....

The AFM doesn't make power the engine does. I am pretty sure it can handle plenty as the there are people running BNR hybrids which go up to what? 380-400ish whp. So i'd say if your upgrading to a different turbo its time to chuck the AFM along with the stock engine control system for a good aftermarket one. Haltech and Microtech are the more popular ones on FC's from my personal observation.

on my S4 going from stock intake to a TID+ cone filter was an INCREDIBLE difference, 5 more PSI of boost, at least 30-40HP.

Definatly noticable in the butt dyno.
