what makes my car go bump in the night??????

well i posted before when my car started shaking like hell at 60 mph and i put the back wheel on the front and that fixed the major shaking.

i just got the tire which was out of balance replaced and now i have four good wheels. yet when i hit a bump with the left rear tire it tries to step out on me even though i am going straight. yes i have bad suspension but it doesnt feel like a susp. prob.

every time i hit a bump it feels like it continues to bounce up and down even though i passed the bump. strange.

also i believe this is related. (on turns especially) when i accelerate sometimes the back right will jump up and down. this isnt even under hard accel. just normal.

any ideas?

Justin

sorry if my thoughts are a little disheveled but i am groggy

I think you need new shocks...springs would prolly help also. I know when you said that when you hit abump the ca continues to bounce up and down even though you are passd the bump. That is shock related...i bet if you replace the shocks and springs like i said..it will quit doing all tat stuff..or at least the last two.
later

Definitely sounds like a rooted shock. Easy test: push down hard on each corner and release quickly. It should bounce once only. Otherwise replace them.

Yea, mine has the same prob. If I hit a couple bumps close together the rear end will go sideways a bit. Scares the you know what out of me!
Suspension is in the plans soon!
