What to look for when buying a used FC?
Hello everyone, I'm new to the site. I've been reading around for a while around here and I havent exactly found what I was looking for. I currently own a '95 GSR and am looking for a 89-91 TII (S5?) as a project car.
I would like to hear some suggestions and/or advice as to what to look for when I go out and look at these. I'd like to strech it out to the n/a cars as well (since the TIIs are pretty hard to come by). The thread on "what breaks the most" was helpful but I wanted to get some direct suggestions. Just as a side question, I went to test drive an 89 GXL and it had a horrible 'clunk' everytime the car shifted weight (like let off the gas/gon on the gas).. I just curious as to if this is a common problem, as my friends 87 had the same thing. Bushings? Differential mounts (if there are any)? Thanks in advance.
