I need to replace the cables to/from my battery on my '91NA. I bought some 4gauge battery cable and I already have a large ground strap. What gauge wire do I need to run to the alternator? Is the 4gauge wire sufficient for the starter? Anyone have a walkthrough or pics?

The car won't start and just clicks when I press the clutch and try to turn it over. This happened before and i removed the starter, cleaned the contacts, lubed the plunger in the solenoid, and cleaned the battery terminals and it worked.
