What is the list of things needed to boost my ride?
I own a 1987 RX7. It is a 5spd. I am interested in istalling a turbo and I would like to know what all is needed?
My list:
1. Turbo manifold
2. down pipe
3. Turbo- What kind /brand/size?
4. 3" exhaust
5. Not sure if I need bigger injectors
6. not sure if I need an upgraded fuel pump?
7. not sure if I need a different ECU?
I would hope the engine itself can stay the way it is... Anyone with the exact minimul list for me to start boosting please share the info!

I could be wrong but last I ever saw there was not a direct bolt on kit for an NA to go turbo. However it is best to start with this link at aaroncakes site and it will lead you where you need to go.

The best way and most economical way is to do a motor swap for a TII drivetrain, then you can upgrade parts if you want more boost.
This question is kind of a hard one to answer because in the end it all depends on how much boost you want to push, the engine condition, ported/non ported etc.... there are a lot of variables.
Outside of going turbo they did make supercharger kits for the NA. Might be able to go that route and pick up a good used kit. Not to sure on those as I have not done a lot of research on going supercharged.
