what is this hole used for?

Iwas talking to a friend of mine and he saw that there was a hole on my lim that didn't have a block off plate and him and i couldn't find what it went so i thought i would ask here and see what it was for.

+1 place a block off plate there or fill that **** with JB weld...

If you have replaced the ACV with a block-off plate then you don't need a block-off plate for the split air pipe because that passage went to the ACV, not the inlet runner. It's fine as it is, but you could put a plate on for aesthetic reasons if you want...
