the gtus rims I believe are the same as the TII rims so the stock size would be 205/55/16.

I believe 225/50/16 will fit without rubbing but am not positive.

I will be ordering new tires soon as well.

go open your door and read what it says on the side.

should be 205/55R16 stock. if it doesn't say that then it's not a real GTUs.

also check the tires on it now and see if they say that. and to confirm that you have stock 16" rims and not aftermarket different size ones.

the GTUs was the "turbo" without the turbo, so it's the same as the turbo. 205/55 16. you can squeeze 225/50 if using Yokohama's. that's what i have on now.

so nobody is sure about 225/50 on other brands? Depending on the brand of tire 225/50 could rub right would 225/45 be safe with all brands?

Hmm...let me check when I get back in SF on Thursday. I have 225's in the rear and they don't rub.

How do you figure? It's an NA with all the TII bits, less the turbo.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE750's, sized 225 50 16 all around on S5 turbo wheels. Fits fine.

The GTUs model uses the same stock wheels, brakes, springs, struts as the S5 Turbo, so for what this guy needs, the GTUs virtually the same.

The only real differences as far as he might be concerned are the steering rack and the stabilzer bars, but neither of those will affect wheel and tire size.
