What header are you running (NA)

Please list what header you are running, exhaust, engine mods, 6 ports working or not and any DYNO results. Thanks for the input. John

well, I am running a RB header with a high flow cat adn no mufflers. My 5th and 6th ports are removed. No dyno results, the header and exhausts helps lot. I noticed the most when I fixed removed my ports (were not opening) and ported the intake.

**** that ****, ill soon be busting out a Streetported turbo monster..... --dreams--.. heheheheheh, whats the specs on that pineapple? and how much was it, ect ect, i might ask for yet ANOTHER loan from "Mommy" to get a good block. I think i can get a block with good apex seals that runs for free, it just spews coolant, ill break it down with a seal kit from "Mazdatrix.com" and get it on the road until i can get some money saved for some big ****.... Thanks

banzai,

I believe you and I are building our cars for the same purpose in mind, autox / road racing.

I should have my car back soon, and I'm running streetport, and pineapple 6 port sleeves. '90 block with assorted other goodies.

I will have the summit RPM activated switch controlling the VDI and possibly the 6-ports, since I have all 87 cpu/ harness.

My plan is to run the mazdatrix true dual exhaust as from what I hear it's the top of the line for power. As for the price, you can get the head and pre-silences and then add your own mufflers for cheaper.

We should compare notes one of these days

I'm on a tight budget, so I got the Mazdatrix kit and had a local shop weld up a full dual. I still gota find some inexpensive presilencers that can stand the load.

I am avoiding the dual for the following reasons:

1. A single will produce more torque in the mid-range, where most of the auto-xing occurs.
2. weight balance, I'm atttempting to offset the drivers weight with the exhaust and battery relocation.
3. A single will be easier to fine tune, I'm thinking of running the super-trapp to aid in this.
4. I can experiment with the collector length to fine tune the torque curve.

ps, what air pump are you using for VDI actuation?

I'm running the 89-91 Air pump, we'll see how well that works, the motor still have to be fitted into the chassis to work all the bugs out. My original plan was to use the 89+ ACV in activation of the 6-ports, but now I don't think this is going to work...

About 1., I thought the dual produced more torque overall?

by Collector length you mean the tube coming off the header?

I just got off the phone with ROB at Pineapple, Thats the input he provided me.

Yes, collector will be the tubes coming off the exhaust flange and merging into one.

The option I took for cheap presilencers was to go out and buy a set of Glasspacks. (make sure the inlet and outlet are the same diameter as you exhaust tubing)

Then, cut them open and pull out all the fiberglass, and repack around the perforated tube w/ stainless steel wool. Yes the same stuff you wash your dishes with, just a lot of it. This is basically what's inside a RB presilencer. (I took one apart) Then weld the G-pack back together and there you go.

Mine have been on my car for about 6 years with no trouble. Try to get a Glasspack about the same dimensions as the presilencer. I mounted mine right in front of the mufflers (where the Y pipe usually is)

Racing Beat Header with Bruleen Stainless Steele Catback. Cat is Hi-Flow S.S aswell. Not sure about the make though.

When I put this set up on my FC, It felt as though I slapped a Turbo on an already FAST ride.
