Angry What happens when you use the wrong OHM rated injectors?

Just wondering, say you put 1989 injectors in your 1987 car or something like that. The car WILL start up and run right? But what are the symptoms of running the wrong OHM rating injectors in a 1987 car, cause I think I might have that problem with my new primaries!

they wont work? im guessing. i thought 87-88 had low independence and 89+ were high.

87 and earlier 88's had low impedance injectors.. later 88-91 had high impedance injectors ..
if you have the wrong injectors you will experience very very bad stumbling.. as long as they are in your secondaries.. if you have them in your primaries your car won't run or idle correctly..

are you still trying to figure out your rich running at idle? your supposed misfireing? have you bothered changing your thermostat yet? you say you're going to buy an msd to cure your problems? why band-aid the problem (which the msd won't solve anyways) rather then actually fix the problem?

Oh what does it matter.. you don't listen to what you don't want to hear anyways...

I still have dibs on the fact you will be on your 4th motor before the spring.. either that or jsut sell the car saying the car is unreliable.. when all along it's the owner who's causing it so much grief..

Actually, the plug changed in 89, the inpedence changed in 88. If you put low impedence injectors in an 88, you will fry a few resistors in the ECU. If you put high impedence injectors on a 86-87, the injectors probably wokr fire, and if they do, they wont flow nearly as much as they should. Higher impedence=less voltage=wont open fully, if at all.

87 was the cut off year
mine is an 87 sport and when I went to get injectors they asked what my vis or chassis number was to see if I need high or low ohm

and on the mazda trix website at
http://mazdatrix.com/c-6.htm

Note: For higher fuel flow in an 86-87 1/2 Turbo or Non-Turbo, the 84-85 injectors may be substituted in either the primary or secondary position (Not recommended in primary). The cutoff for 87 1/2 is June 1987 and splits at VIN #7601. The SE injectors will NOT work in engines after this VIN number

but as for the orig question

Ok, calm down. What warranted all this hatred towards me?? I don't think its my fault I'm having problems with my car, rather its with the stupid shop that does shady work on my car that's the problem. The last time I dealt with them, they put this fairly new Mazda Reman block in, but the guy also put in these Brand NEW injectors that he says came off that motor. Ever since then, I've been experiencing exactly what you described above...bad stumbing and bad idle/misfires from idle-3000rpm ranges. I brought up this problem with him and HE CLAIMS because the injectors are SO NEW and SO CLEAN they are spraying too much fuel into the engine!!! WTF, is that , that doesn't make any sense! From your comments, I'm guessing these injectors and block was in a 1988 car. He transfered my Secondary injectors over from my previous engine and that works just fine. So its gotta be those Primaries causing the problems.
