You probably won't find a clock that works. Fix your own by resoldering all the joints...

Pick up an alternator as well...Odds are yours will die soon.

There is a lot of information on this forum about doing the 5 lug conversion. Search, and then decide if it's worth the trouble.

Power windows are easy. You need the door wiring harness, switches, door panel and window regulator. It all bolts right in.

If it's the same as yours (87 1/2- 88) grab the injectors and TPS. If you decide to have your injectors serviced, it's easier to send off extras and not have your car down. I always try to have extra sensors, solenoids, relays, coils, etc. Good for diagnosing problems without spending tons of cash.

If you do that, take the entire rear assembly unit, and entire front A-arm assembly. I'm talking everything that you see in the picture of pg 13-2 of the FSM, except for the steering (heck, you can take the steering rack too if you want to replace your PS with the better manual rack). This sounds like a lot, but it is faster and easier to swap than individual parts. Besides, you get all the goods this way, including the big brakes and LSD (if installed), although it's a lot to haul away.

If you do get the power windows, try to loot the switches from the other 2 cars, as these always break, and are difficult to source. You may already know this, but you will also need to take the door interior panels if you convert, and don't forget the power mirrors and the little plastic triangle trim pieces on the other side of the mirrors. Power windows suck IMO, but to each his own.

Take the "Flash-To-Pass" lenses. They're the little lenses under the headlights.

The cover for the rear-wiper motor is heavy in demand...in fact I need one.

Yes, good post.

Usually the sunroof sticks because of dirt, grime, and a bad seal, but I guess you can pick up those extra parts just in case. You can open the sunroof with no power by inserting a hex key into the key hole and cranking with the key. The hole is in the inteiror roof of the car, just behind the sunroof panel, and is covered by a round cap.

I recommend printing out some of the service manual pages and taking them along with you to the junkyard so that you know how to take everything apart without ruining it.

I have a friend looking for some manual windows for his 88 GXL. He needs everything to make the swap from power equipment. His interior is grey. Thanks.
Please email me at Seanyarroll@aol.com because I might forget I posted in this thread.

i already had a hood, bumper, 2 door panels and some other things stuffed in my car. it was pretty fun to drive with it all only held in by a bungie cord and some tube from a pair air shocks. but im goin back because my little armrest thing just broke and i gotta get the rest of the stuff for power windows.

BLACK7- the interior on mine is blue but otherwise u could have it.

NODE- is it really that much, more than a couple hrs worth of work?

You had a hood, bumper, 2 door panels in the car? That must have been funny seeing an rx7 packed to the rim like that.

If you don't have an aluminum hood yet get one if there is one. Saves 20lbs.

Also the 4 to 5 lug brake conversion is very easy. Takes one whole day and some seriously dirty hands. Get the front rubber brake lines too. The rear lines are a direct match. Make sure the rotors are vented in the front and rear and the calipers are aluminum up front with 4 pistons. Might as well do the manual rack conversion at the same time. Saves weight and better steering response.

To check and see if the differential is limited slip/posi where the refill/inspection plug is there should be a tag saying (limited slip needs special additive). If not jack up the back of the car and spin one tire. Both sides should spin in the same direction meaning it has posi.

Good luck,

-GNX7
