Angry What the Gay?

ok my car= 91 NA Corksport headers mid pipe catback no silencer (loud as **** ^_^) brand new falken tires, good clutch, open diff, basic mostly stock RX

Buddies car = 89 240sx coupe stock headers stock cat custom cat back, 85% toyo tires AEM short ram, good clutch, open diff, lowering springs

race = 25mph lose by 2
40 mph win by one
stand still lose by 3

how am I losing to this car? I'm not the best drag racer in the world (I prefer twisting roads) but I didnt miss shift, I launched pretty well is my car actually slower then his power wise or did I **** something up?

o and megasquirt or power FC?

is your car working right i dont know how fast a 240 so i wouldn't know.

ka is a truck motor with more torque. You'll loose off the line and low range... you can only take him top end. trust me i know...

lol, you lost to a 240 in an S5 na with a full exhaust? It does have better torque than you, but once you hit 3rd you should be pulling on him and towards redline in 3rd you should have him. My opinion, driver error. Your car should have more than enough power to beat a 240 in the top end, especially with a full exhaust.

He did win at higher speeds, just not going slowly.

yea when we raced at high speeds I have him low end I dont... very depressing

but I do kick his *** on the back road NOTHING handles better then an RX7!

buddies 240 swapped sr20det with bolt ons @ 18psi keeps up with my large port rebuilt full rev2 and bolt ons..pretty dead even cars but his topps @ 118 mine will keep pulling a while..we plan to go to mazda days down @ vir this fall so we will see how bad i can beat him.
