What is this? (FCD maybe?)

I just bought this car, and upon further inspection under the hood, I found this mysterious little black box. I think is maybe an FCD, but I've never seen one in real life. Any ideas what it is?

boost sensor.

detects the amount of vacuum of the intake and uses its reading to adjust the idle.

The black box with "DL" marked on it is the fcd. To the left of that is the boost sensor.

LOL, I thought that was a 70. Now I really need to start taking a better look around the engine to see what else is hidden in this car. I didn't know the exhaust has aftermarket at first. It was custom made with alumized steel, and I've ever seen the underside of an FC before.

BTW, what is a series 4? (Can't use numbers in the search) Is it because my car is an S4?

1986-1988 rx7's are considered series 4 or s4...1989 -1991 rx7's are called series 5 or s5
