what the f*%$ is the deal with Corksport?

ok, im getting really pissed off right now. I ordered that damn stainless cat back system from them at the beginning of April. They said they ran out and are making more, and that they will be here at the end of May. So I called them a couple weeks ago to see if everything was still cool, and they said yes everything is right on time i will have my exhaust at the end of May. Now it is June, I still have no freaking exhaust, and now they are telling me that the exhaust should be done around the middle of June so I will get it then. Im getting really fu%*ing pissed off right now, I have had the rest of my system sitting in the garage for over a month now. Is anyone else waiting for this thing and getting really really mad? They even told me that my name is first on the list, because I ordered the thing right after they sold their last one. I think that if that godamn cat-back isnt sitting on my door step in 2 weeks, im cancelling the order and throwing another 200 down for an N1. I really wanted to avoid doing that, but this is starting to be complete bullshit. It doesnt take this long to have these things done.

I tried to order some white face gauges through them by mail back in March and to this day still haven't got them. I deal with Mazdatrix, RX7STORE, and rx7.com only now if they don't have it then I don't buy it. I have the Racingbeat turbo back on mine and I love it the hp gain was awesome.

yeah im broke and in college, though, i dont have the money for an RB system, and i really liked the one from Corksport. This all doesnt sound too re-assuring hearing that you just never recieved something from them. Any other stories I should know about from anyone? I would kind of like to know if im setting myself up to get totally fucked right now. Plus I want that damn exhaust on my car, now.

Just keep calling them. They seem a little slow. But they WILL send you your stuff. They are not the type to rip people off. I waited a little over two months for a set of brake lines, but they did come. A few times when I called them they almost sounded as if they had totaly forgot about my order. So just call and call until they get so sick of you that they just send the damn thing.

they sound nice, and i have heard people say good things about them, but i mean jesus, this is getting a little ridiculous now.

I just hope i get the damn thing. obviously the option of getting it quickly was out the window a month ago. and yes, rx7.com got my stuff to me in like a week. and they had to send it across the whole country. is there anyone on this forum that has anything to do with Corksport? Id just like an answer as to what is going on, because when I call everyone seems to not disclose that much info.

The problem with the Corksport exhaust is that it's a new item and they can't keep up with the demand, because the price kicks ***. Don't let this one instance ruin your opinion of them.

I agree. Thier prices are preaty good and they offer some good alternatives to other higher priced items. To a lot of people waiting a few extra weeks is worth it to save a few hundred dollars. Like you said you can get the N1 for another $200, but will it be any better? It's all one big battle of money vs. time vs. quality. And as I'm sure you have heard before; you can't have all three. Try to be patient, once you get it you'll have it every day after. Sometimes I like waiting for my parts more than having them. Or; like I said earlier, just bug the **** out of them until they poney up the goods!

Red face

I bought my jspec from them....the first one they gave me was dead...but they replaced it the same day no questions asked. The good thing is my parents live about 20 minutes away...so I just had to drive over and pick the stuff up myself.

I was thinking about the exhaust, maybe I will wonder over to the shop and see what I can find out in person or something.

I just got my RB presilencer today- It was on backorder too. So I got the RB downpipe and presilencer. I also order the corksport cat back and now thinking of just buying the muffler from them and having the rest welded with 3". Any thoughts? I think the corksport exhaust is loud as hell with out some type of silencer.

does anyone that already has the exhaust have any comments? Does it flow as well as a N1? Is it as loud? I have a N1 on my 240SX and it is annoyingly loud, I don't want to make that mistake again with the TII but I also want a very high flowing system.

Just get the CS muffler...they're only $90...unless they're on back-order too.

Man, if this **** is true I am equally as pissed. Who the hell makes 20 cat back systems and sells them so cheap and expects them NOT to go out really quick. Sometimes people are so ******* retarded that it isn't funny. They are gonna get a call from me in the morning tommorow, the afternoon and right before the ******* close. I am pissed and I am getting my exaust this week....LIKE PROMISED!!!!!

Jeez you guys are a whiney bunch sometimes...
You’re getting a quality product for much less than anything else out there, yet you think they’re “******* retarded” because demand exceeds supply. Welcome to the real world. I'm not saying CS's performance is acceptable, but it certainly doesn't warrant this abuse.
If you’re that hung up about the time factor, put your money where your mouth is and buy the more expensive product. Otherwise, be patient. And like Samps said, repetitive calling does work...

Dang, I guess I was lucky. My original exhaust literally exploded and I needed a cat-back pronto. This happened days after they added this system to their site. For the price, I was sold. It got to me very quickly. I assume I was one of the first to get it. Very high quality unit. My experiences with CorkSport have been great so far. They seem to offer goods of excellent quality at very reasonable prices. Have patience folks.

I too have had nothing but good experiences with them, I also highly recommend them.

Everything I ordered has shown up exactly when they said it would without any extra calls or concerns.

But I do order over the phone with them rather than fax or any other method.

Yeah, I just sold my Power Extreme for turbo parts for my conversion. I called last thursday to order that catback and they told me that it would be about 2 weeks before they are finished. They took my name & number. They wouldn't let me place my order, instead they said they'd call me.

yeah they told me i was first in line, i just feel like im being led along or something. like if it doesnt come i wouldnt be surprised if they tell me it will be here in another 2 weeks or something. i just hate being told something and then being told over and over that i have to wait longer.

My friend is going through the same thing right now. hes got a supra and he ordered Blitz NUR Spec exhaust through digital racer.com, and he has been waiting well over 2 months for it to arrive. hes kept calling them and theyh just keep saying that they expect it to come in. if you cant ship the product out, or have it available, then why sell it?

I guess just keep calling. I'll probably call later in the week. I'm sure they know people are getting ancy about the wait. I think that they didn't expect this much demand for the exhaust.

I ordered the Corksport exhaust about 2 months ago. I called in and I think it was pretty good. They are a bit slow but if you keep calling them then everything will go thru. I guess their customer service is pretty bad but I got my catback 6 days later.

- Kevin

P.S. The catback is FREAKIN LOUD AS HELL. I suggest getting a presilencer. I'm lucky I haven't gotten pulled over yet.
