hey i was wondering what your S5 TII's boost at. my car is pretty much stock. its a 91 TII and in first i can only hit 5 boost and most of the time its just 6 in a half and when i gas it on the free way in 5th and let go and gas it again it shoots up to 7. my boost is leaking oil. could this be loss of boost or am i fine and im going to be porting my waste gate soon after some upgrades and sense ive got it out does anyone know any good rebuild kits or do i have to take it to someone. thanks guys

stock should be 8psi.. 5psi in first is normal.

your cats are probably clogged.

are you reading this off an aftermarket boost gauge??

 

yes i am. i have a VDO boost guage

 

what are sighns of failing cats???

 

That psi is pretty normal. I have dp and hi flow cat and run 7.5 to 8. Have never hit fuel cut. With stock cats it was @ 6.5/7.

 

I never see anything above 5.5 in my 88 TII. I thought that was normal.
