my dad originaly suggested it to me so i was askin what it would take to do it.. but as i have learned know i dont need that kind of rpms i just need a good trustworthy engine.

i do have this one question though...i was told by the previous owner that he managed to crack a rotor(said it could talk)but anyway when he replaced the rotor he put a lightweight rotor in its place so basically i've been runnin my car with one stock rotor an one lightweight rotor. is there anything wrong with this??? i've studyed a little an i hear mazda always kept the weights of the rotors close so i'm not sure how bad off my motor is

Well the S5 rotors I believe are lighter than the S4 and then within each of those you have weight codes, the higher the letter the lighter the weight. Mazda would only run one letter difference appart in weights so if you where looking at S4 rotors an "E" rated rotor would be lighter than a "B" and mazda might install two "b" rateed rotors or a B & C or A & B.

The letters would mean nothing though between different series so an E rated S4 rotor would be completly different than an E rated S5.

I'm others on here know more about that than I do. Either way you need to have a ballanced assembly.

the people who talk the most about doing seriously hardcore N/A builds are the people putting like 130 to the ground. And then nothing anywhere near that materializes. They don't realize how expensive and time consuming each additional hp gets after a certain point

yeah i'm very quickly seeing i cant afford to do all that i wanted to but being i already have an s5 engine for parts i can do some of this....an i understand rotors are supposed to be closely balanced thats why i'm concerned about having one stock rotor an one lightweight rotor cause i know this must be throwing the balance way off
