Difference in TII intercoolers (pic)

What's the difference? Why does one have different writing/colors? One for s4/s5?

Thanks
James

You seem serious, so thank you. That could be why it came with my J-spec motor. I got the two intercoolers at the same time, so I wasn't sure.

Thanks.

the JDM/USDM difference is just the writing. the S4/S5 difference is the bracket location (they dont quite line up). also by your picture, looks like the S5 one has slightly bigger piping. idk if the S4's came black or if a bunch of people paint them, but the S5's come unpainted.

S4 and S5 intercoolers have the same core and tank dimensions. The S5's has slightly larger tubes and the inlet pipe flares where it meets the tank, and flows ~5% better as a result.
