There have been a few discussions on the Wolf EMS is various forums and threads in the last little while. You should find them quite easily.

I think the Wolf 3D v4 is great, and a very unappreciated EMS. The software is awesome.

I have the v3.1. I like it, but I'd love to have the v4, to solve my cold idle issues.

I did not do the inital install. But I was not happy with the way it was installed, so last winter I re-did most of it again. Its not hard, just takes time.

Ease of tuning: Well, tuning an EMS isn't that hard. Once you know how the software works and how to navigate the handcontroller on the Wolf, its fairly straight forward.

The key is having the knowledge about how much timing can be used under what loads and rpms and having a Wideband 02 to determine the correct Air-fuel ratio (AFR).

Tuning AFR's is easy with a WB. Just time consuming.

Ignition timing is best left to people with experience. Start off with a conservative timing map, then have a pro alter the timing for good power while avoiding detonation. Timing is where a lot of extra power can be made, but since each car is different I wouldn't play with that too much.

Adjusting throttle tip-in, correction maps for cold start-up etc. takes either experience or trial and error. Both work, lol...
