what does an air bypass valve do??
what does an air bypass valve do??
I have an 88 turbo II with a smoking problem. I have noticed that the air bypass valve wires have been cut very short. And have no connection hooked to them. What exactly does this do and could this be my problem? Thanks
the air by-pass valve releases boost when it is not needed.... I would hook up the wires that go to it.. I don't think it will help your smoking problem.... Nicorette may help with that (j/k) Good luck with your problem
I was hoping Hailers would have answered this one, because he's the S4 turbo guy, but, IF the ABPV does the same thing on the turbos that it does on the NA's, then it opens up to allow extra intake air into the engine for things like turning the AC on, turning the steering wheel, etc...
I don't see how it could cause a smoking problem if it was inop...
