Stock .

In the working - Tein Type S Springs + AGX Struts, RB sway bars, poly mounts, and CS strut bars.

If anything I can always switch to coilovers and camber plates when the time comes.

suspension (drool) its all ive done so far (practically)

silkroad coilover
lower arm bar
jic CF rear strut bar
toe steer eliminators
full bushing kit
Auto power roll bar
RB sway bars
Mazdatrix endlinks
mazdatrix rear camber kit (one for each side)
manual steering rack conversion
GT mustang rims rapped with Neova tires (235/255)
RE amemiya front fenders (20mm wider)
SS brake lines
reman front 4pod and rear calipers
axis ultimate brake pads
cross drilled and slotted rotors front and rear
redline gear fluid in tranny and rear end

I adding to the list that isnt suspension but does help for handling. The fenders let me fit the 235 tires in the front, but going with a different tire set up when it comes to it. 245 front and rear with Neovas because these tires are bad ***. stick for days and very progressive.

just to let you know, i know quite a few pplz that are in the tuner scene in japan and they all say that JIC, Tein, and falkin are not respected there. They are all thought down up and they all make fun of me because of my strut bar

Ohlins struts and RS*R springs.

I'm slowly getting all the bushes and other stuff together to finish the job.

PS. A lot of imported FCs into Aus have JIC and Tein coilovers (among others of course), so they seem to be used a reasonable amount. Assuming we get an average cross section of the modded FCs out of Japan.

flt-a2 are good for the first 10k miles and if your not in an area that isnt very wet.

they are known to rust and leak quickly

The best way to go for the money is koni yellow struts with RB springs.

I kind of wished i went with konis because they are very very good struts(the yellows) and play around with spring rates.

heard only good things about those coilovers but last time i heard and have heard it many times, Buddy club is goin under.

Good luck finding a place that has them in stock because those are the coilovers i wanted and I wanted to order them but was told not to by the owner of the shop i was goin to buy the coilover through. He said he ordered 2 and never got them yet. He ordered them about a year ago. I told him to give me a call when he finally gets them.

He also said that the FD ones come within a month but can never get them for FC. That is why i went with silkroad. I remember reading about this guy saying his lasted or over 60k and thats why i got them haha.

IF you can get gpsport coilover: they are very good they have stiffer spring rates then most coilover kits then most coilover kits. This was my next chose but they where over stock.

if you do decide to get silkroad or gpsport coilover give Rishie (OWNER) from AutoRND a call. Let him know that Jason with the Black GTUs sent you and hopefully he gives you a good deal. IF not ask for Dana (very cool guy that works for dana).

On my 87 gxl : Tein S Tech lowering springs. For struts I am running Tokico Illuminas: 5 way adjustable. Car handles pretty well, really flat through the turns.

Unknown springs and struts. Springs are like, brownish color, shocks look like they might be stock, but the ride isn't bouncy and the car rides fairly stiff...hmm...

If I wasn't fixing the car I'd be getting AGX's with Ground Controls and some swaybars, as well as poly bushings (should be done on every car). That's seriously all you need for street/part time track driving, unless of course you want to spit out a name like Zeal or JIC and show off the size of your...inverted monotube...

1"...maybe 1.5" maximum.
Anything more and the rear camber gets too out-of-whack that can't be adjusted out with rear camber bars or links.

I keep mine down on 1 all the way around on the street; its way to painfull to ride around on my springs and having the shocks valved all the way up. Plus, it seems like it would be putting unneeded stress on the shock valves to have them set that way all the time.

Yeah, I'm just kidding, I have a racing seat in my car so with them on 4 and 8 it's pretty bad. Normally I have them on 2 and 4 mostly sometimes 1 and 1 or 1 and 2.
