Electrical system. And where they put that plug on the logicon. Geez, how I hate to get into old dashes.

They're fantastic cars overall in my opinion.

I love my RX7 because I know what it could be.

However, I absolutely despise it as well, and wish I had not bought the first one...or the second...or bought the first back again...or bought the third...

I hate all the crappy wiring that always has to be fixed/replaced. I hate the finicky engine that always has to be fixed/replaced. I hate how none of them run. I hate how when one does run I know it's not for very long. I hate one idles at either one of 2 speeds...0Krpm and 4500rpm. I hate how the second burst into flames...while I was in it...for no reason! I hate I get so mad that I want to go beat the car to a pile of scrap but every time I walk toward it with a tire iron I end up cleaning a window or waxing something.

What I hate the most about the car, though, what bugs me more than anything else, is the fact that I would be SO willing to trade all these problems and all this **** and the fondness of the car itself for a pregnant girlfriend.

I have a strong dislike for the time spent between drives.

ie---drive FC, FC blows up...put in another engine... drive FC, FC blows up...etc.

Ditto, but I hate that I've replaced everything except the paint and it still won't start.

Don't get too down on the car. I'm on my 5th RX7. All have had high mileage, all have run perfectly, none have blown up. They were all fun to drive and very reliable (maybe not Honda reliable but still reliable). What do I hate??? No cup holder!

The only thing I really hate about my fc is the fading paint. I can't wait to get the thing painted. Besides that she runs good.

I hate that the car is just old. It just feels like an old car when Im driving it, everything seems a little loose. Thats why I think that Im going to replace the whole suspension and all bushings before I do any more performance stuff to it, just to make it feel good again...

I hate all the time and money I'm about to spend on mine to make it the car I want it to be.

I almost think I should give up now before I spend any money and just buy a '95 BMW M3 instead. But the soft spot I have for my car won't let me do that.

You will hate the fact that almost no dealer or service station will be able to successfully work on the car.

You will love the fact that there is a wonderful source of information to help you fix your own problems right here!

These are DIY cars!

If somebody else changes your oil, then don't buy a RX-7!

Idle adjustment------------------
Sometimes it wants to stall.
I get some time to fix it, and it works perfect before I begin?
Then, a day later it tries to stall again..

You know the biggest thing I hate about a FC is:

I hate other owners of FCs that bitch about their cars...

Like a 15 year old RX-7 with it's age and owner related problems is too good for them

The price of engine rebuilds is outta this world!!!!!

I can do a small block chevy rebuild myself for under 1k. But it seems when the rotary goes bad it tends to self destruct and you end up buying new housings or rotors as well as the rebuild kit and labor itself. Course if I new more about them I could do the labor myself.

i dont like how the head liner is so low with a sunroof helmet=problems. and it seems this car was made for a smaller person..
seat is to high, and everyonce and a while i hit my knees on the steering column.

im going to have to remove the head liner for a roll cage. a race seat should lower the seating position too.

oh, that rear steering is pretty crappy too. It seems that a lot of late 80's and early 90's cars expermented with this. And it also seems that they all work best when this system is disabled.

I'd have to say the electrical system. For some reason in those cars it's really different than most, and so I'm told, if you want a nice alarm installed you have to take it to someone that really knows rx7's wiring and such and have done it before, otherwise you get a "normal guy" to do it and the thing never works...been through 2 alarms already
