ok well i just fnish sanding down my car and found out the orignal color is red well i dont know the exact code for the car but i really like 2 colors

any suggestions or pics on to what an S5 would like in red?? its currently painted flat black previous owner spray painted the entire car so i had to sand it all down so neways what do you guys think is a good color?

I stay away from them....all of my FCs have been red.....bleh...I'm glad that my current one is black.

I believe my cars color is called Blaze red and the color code is SQ.

 

mine is ferrari red, the painter told me the redest red you can get. not sure of the paint code.

 

I like red, but it looks nasty when it fades. Its also supposed to be a cop magnet, but experience dosent support this.

snoopster76, I like that red. Do you have some positive camber on your front wheels? It looks like it in the picture.

I likes the red...though my car needs painted. Honestly, the stock red is actually a really good red color, when i polish the spots that will polish on my car it looks really nice.

 

yeah the stock color is very pleasant to the eye. even my 16 y/o paintjob looks really nice after a good waxing. stock red color code is RH btw.

 

about the cop magnet thats actually what im afraid of i do speed alot not like massively over the speed limit but if im supposed to do 40 i do like 55 60 but i consider all that cruising speed and i wouldnt mind painting the color white but i dont feel like pulling the engine to paint the engine bay..

MY 87 N/A is red, and yes it is a cop magnet. After being pulled a few times while keeping up with 5 or 6 cars around me going the same speed, I have to believe that the car was singled out because its a red sports car.

Get mat black, so it will absorb the radar
*anyways. I like a nice deep glossy red, post pics of whatever you decide to do, I'm sure it'll look awesome
*edit, I wouldnt worry too much about painting the engine bay, no matter what color it is (imo/within reason), if its clean, itll look nice, the constrast might actually look nice.

 

well if i dont go with red i dont im a type of person i like have things looking complete so i wouldnt want a black car and a red engine bay =/ but if anything i would get it in black or white but thats my choice otherwise it goes red =(

Personally, I like S5 red, don't really care for S4 red.

 

I like the S5 red better as well.

As far as the cops, the radar gun doesn't discriminate against red.

 

Yes but if you are cruising down the highway and keeping up with traffic (which is always over the limit), you are more likely to be pulled than the people around you. Its a proven fact. Why do you think insurance is higher for red cars? They didn't make the statistic up.
