Revs go up and down quicker and smoother making shifts a little quicker, from my experience. The downside is starting from a dead stop up hill can be tricky. Not much inertia from a lighten flywheel to get things moving.

Installed an ACT flywheel 3 weeks ago.

So far I love it. It does feel much more responsive.

There is the downside of the already existant no torque hole at low rpm's.
I accidentally put it in a higher gear some time last week while making a left turn. It took FOREVER to get moving.

An easy remedy to this is just tapping the rpm's a bit higher.

I'd defintely recommend one if you have the chance.

Not meaning to thread jack and hopefully this will help SICRX7 as well as me. Does a lightened flywheel hurt accleration and torque? I take my car to the dragstrip every couple weeks or at least when its running right lol and I was wondering if a lightened flywheel would help or hurt it. Thanks in advance.

That's what I thought, but i wonder if overall which one would get a quicker time. I need to do more research on it although im not ready to get a new flywheel yet. Hopefully by the end of the summer though.

I have a 12 steel flywheel. It definitely is harder to get moving especially in my convertible, I have to rev up about 700 rpm higher than with the stock flywheel. My buddy has a 7 lb flywheel and he has to rev to at least 3000 to get moving with out bogging out.

I have a Fidanza 8lb flywheel and I've never had to rev that high to get started. I can keep it around 1k starting off, and between 1.5-2k on hills.

When i was looking for a flywheel, everyone told me to stay between 12 and 17 lbs, but I went with 8 and I'm 100% happy with it.
