What do these do?

Buying parts for my 13bt swap, and i'm getting ready to buy all the block off plates from K2RD.com. I want to get rid of everything minus my a/c and ps. So what do i need and what do all the things i'm removing actually do? I wont have cats so i dont need the air pump, i shouldnt need the egr. Whats the ACV and what does it do? Whats the split air pipe and what does it do?

The block-off plates (easy to make instead of buying), bolts to replace the AVC's studs and rubber caps for the redundant vac lines. A dual belt pulley for the alternator is also recommended because the water pump needs to belts to avoid slipping.

Basically they admit additional air to the exhaust to ensure complete combustion and reduce emissions.
Whats the ACV and what does it do?
The Air Control Valve takes air from the Air Pump and distributes it to either the exhaust ports or the cat dpending on various engine conditions. It also includes the Anti-Afterburn Valve, to stop popping in the exhaust on decell. Expect some of this after removal of the ACV.
Whats the split air pipe and what does it do?
It carries the air from the ACV to the cat.
