What do I use to replace transmission oil?

I got my 7 all prepared and out of the garage, go my inspections and registration passed. So now I have a noisy transmission (manual). I wanted to inspect the transmission oil level but the thing has square bolt heads. The manual shows this too so I assume that this is normal for our cars. Mine is an 88 s4 vert 5-spd, mostly stock. What tool do I use for this or where can I get the right size socket?

Thanks
-Max

Opened end wrench, not certain of the size, or a large adjustable wrench.

not sure socket size but for square heads the star sockets work well (I dont know what to call them but it just has notches all the way around instead of just the 6 walls)

actually rx7 trannies have two separate fluid sections.....the fluid level in the shifter does not reflect the level in the transmission. both levels need to be checked and filled separately.

Both areas use the same grade of oil right?

I think I just used a regular socket. I can't remember if it was 6 or 12 sided.

For filling the trans fluid.. took me an hour cause I was just using 5 ft of tubing and gravity to fill the trans.. a pump is cheap..
