what do i do when i am timing my car?

i have an 89 GXL and i'm trying to put it in time. i know you have to turn the crank angle sensor but the manual i have says there is a lock bolt inside the blind cap of the crank angle sensor and you can loosen the sensor and turn it. does anyone know where it is and what it looks like and when you turn the sensor does the whole thing turn like a distributor or is it on of the peices inside? please help

Just like a distributor. The bolt is where shown in the attached image. Check the workshop manual for complete instructions on setting the timing.
