what to do?

what to do?
ok, Ive just been given an 88 Base with 178k on the body and supposidly a low mileage replacement for cheap... problem being is the oil seals are crap and hes removed everything seemingly except the O2sensor. however the engine seems clean and everything looks good.the body is in good shape too..

heres my delima

I orginaly got it to part it out... but seing as no one would really want parts from a base, i dont think thatll work out too well...

the body is too good, I think i wana play with it... my thoughts were a basic rebuild, large Streetports or probably full Bridges with some webber IDAs or dellortos(im not good with carbs so suguestions or info would be nice.) and a nice RB header. Ive got the 4piston swap already, most of the removals that I wanted have been done... so it would be a matter of setting up the fuel and carbs, and the Ignition and droping it in.

Although this sounds fun, Im low on funds and im trying to go and get the TIIs that ive promised to part out to people here AND I really dont have room for it...
should I do it, play around and then sell it? Should I rebuild it and sell it without playing with it? should i just part it out?

Ive got an 88GXL that im currently driving. but this one could be so much more fun.

I just dont know what to do... the kid in me wants to build it to screw around in, maybe track. the adult in me says thats too much money to go "play" with... would it be a bad investment?
