Question What is the difference between a Fuel Pump and an Ascender Unit? Pictures welcomed.

I got a gas leak somewhere around the "Ascender Unit," according to the last owner. Problem is, it doesnt say anything about that. Nearest I can figure, its the Fuel Pump. Anywho, any help is greatly appreciated. And again, pictures of the two respective parts are welcomed. Thanks

'sending unit'is located in the tank always,on some vehicles they run an external fuel pump but on the fc they are together in the tank,if you pull the carpet back by the sapre tire you'll see a plate in the floor with a wireing harness running through it and I belive 6 screws take them out and you'll have access to the sending unit/fuel pump.Hope this helps.Chad
