well here is the flywheel (pics at night)...
i dont know what to look for, you guys think does it
need to be replaced or machined?
and if it does what does it cost?

If you're locking up the rear on downshifting, then you clearly have no idea how to do it.

ok ok im a crappy driver lets leave it at that

but how does the flywheel look?
does it look like it needs to be replade?

looks to me that the slave cylinder went bad, mine did same thing, took me another clutch to find out the hydraulics went bad..

when the slave cylinder doesn't engage the disc fully you get uneven hot spots and thus the material coming apart in spots and not the entire clutch, so clutch was probadly good, just slave cylinder went bad on you..


The only way to check it is to measure the distance the dowel pushes out of cylinder..its should be 1 1/2" if its less, you got the problem found.

Your flywheel needs regrinding, it will not make for a good bite on new clutch...it will slip.

the slave should be ok its brand new but i do have a leak in the hose to the slave so that might be the reason its not working porperly but it looks like it does work.

yea im going to pull the new clutch bak out and redo the flywheel

definitely have the flywheel done this should be done on every clutch change. had mine done for my 6 puck and cant wait to see how she grabs
