sadrmmr04 bad spelling would be my first guess....second guess would be a cheap clutch, how are you driving the car and what clutch was it?
yea i have the spelling skills of a 4 year old...
and like i said i dont know what kind of clutch it is,
the crappy good for nothing mechanic that did half the swap
for me put that clutch in there saying it was better than what was in there
aredy.
and i only drove it like 4 days after the swap, but i drove it hard.

i don't know that a proper break-in of the clutch would have made much of a difference in this case, but hard driving and a new clutch are not a good combination. you should always break in the clutch before abusing it. it almost seems as though it just grenaded on a hard launch

Busted clutch, looks just like mine after it stranded me. I got my car back from the body shop, drove to the gym, driving home, and I couldn't get it back in gear. Long story short, $80 later for the tow, mechanic calls me next day: "How hard did you go on the 7? You must have been dropping the clutch after the TII swap huh?" Nope.. it just gave.
A new clutch later. It runs fine now...

I got an "Action" clutch, recommended by Mr. JRX himself, they use it in their Drift FD.
Yeah, it sucked major donkey #&^#, just got the car back from the body shop after the TII swap, got everything buttoned down, and the clutch just went out, I should have replaced it the 1st time around when the swap was going it, saving me some dinero.

sounds like it just locked up too hard and since it was an old ( and probably worn out) clutch it just grenaded from the force of down shifting and locking the rear up. I have a cheap clutchmaster stage1 on mine and i was locking up the rear downshifting at a track all day and it did fine, i haven't tried ACT before, but im sure they are also better than whatever that guy put in yours

Ouch!..looks like it just went Kablooey!..Bad manufacturing, crappy brand of clutch?
I'd be looking at what it did to your flywheel too.
..and the Flywheel nut is 2-1/8" or 54 mm.

how does the flywheel look?? but theres alot of possibilities what could have caused it but for most parts, it gave out...
ill take some pics of it tommorow though.
yea the flywheel nut is 2 1/8th if you need to buy the socket order it from craftsman i just did and it was only $40 shipped. Worked perfectly

Downshifting, dumping the clutch, or pretty much improper use of the clutch will do that. Also not knowing what kind of clutch it is. Are you running alot of power? Or is this in a stock car?

andf as for the clutch mt dumass mechanic said it was still ok so did not think it would be a problem. and he did not say what kind of clutch it was.
oh snap, I don't see why you even attempted to use a used clutch. Get ACT.
