What are coolant seals?

I can't find any pictures of them, don't know where they are, and I can't seem to find them for sale, but I apparently blew one.

Umm...

They are on the inside of your motor. You won't see them till you pull your motor apart.

www.mazdatrix.com sells them

And your local Mazda dealer should be able to get them for you.

AS you can see you have to take your motor apart. This does not MEAN YOU HAVE to rebuild your motor but since it's in pieces you MIGHT AS WELL.

These seals keep the coolant from entering the chamber as they pass through the irons. there are many reason why you'd kill the seals but your car should still be SOMEWHAT driveable unless you spew smoke non stop from the second you start your car.

Examples: overheating will make them brittle and fail. Overboosting expands the housings and exposes the seals to the rotor which then damages them as it spins around.

i don't know what else. All this can be found using the search feature.
