What is this connector/cable?!?! Help?

Hi, I was putting a new clutch in my car and I broke a cable, but I don't have a camera so I kind of drew it out, hope it makes sense. What is it and what does it do? It broke where it meets the black box so I can't solder it. Thanks.

I don't know how to post so here's the link...

It's used by the oil pressure gauge to smooth out the signal if I remember right, you should be fine without it

Well, I'm using an aftermarket gauge, so it doesn't matter at all right?
