what color where the factory springs?

what color where the factory springs for my 87 rx-7? because my suspension is really stiff so i think the suspension might be upgraded. the ones i have on there now are red.

If your springs are red, they are probably Racing Beat. The RB springs on my first gen are red. Look at them really close and see if they have Racing Beat printed on the coils.

Black. Struts were black also. On my T2, I have pink and white paint dabs also, don't remember if it was left/right, or front rear. Definately marked to match the factory build sheet though....

I also have red springs. I dont know what they are, neither did the previous owner. I looked at one of them and saw white numbers but couldnt see any thing that resembled a brand name.

Mine stock springs were black. Eibach's are red.

it depends who you get ur springs from. racing beat springs are red. SOME eibach springs are red.. mine personally were black, but it depends who rebadges the springs.. like the kid that i have is an eibach prokit but it was rebadged as an eibach AGX prokit... so ther u have it..
