What color are the solenoids?

I just need to know the color of the VDI solenoid, and the 6th port solenoid. I'm doing a little experimenting tonight (it's raining).

I understand what the Orange does but....

Grey = Switching? Swithcing what?

Blue= Relief
Are these parts of the ACV or PCV system?

Thx

They're for the switching and relief valves inside the ACV.

You mean you're keeping your FPR solenoid to help with hot starts. Keeping the FPR itself is not optional...

So if you remove all emissions junk does that mean that solenoid becomes useless?

Yes. I ran zero solenoids for a couple weeks. Am now using one of the solenoid switches to switch a relay with activates an eletric air pump. I'm using a second (white, VDI) solenoid to activate the VDI actuation.

So I'm using one actual solenoid, and 1 harness. Other's are just dangling harnesses (removed the solenoid's themselves).

Did you forget the difference between a relay and a solenoid since the last time you posted in this thread?

If you look closely you'll see that all of the solenoids are identical. The only difference is what port the little filter is on. Any solenoid can be used, as long as it's hooked up in an identical manner to the old one.

BTW, why do you need the 6PI (white) solenoid but not the VDI (brown) one?

Actually, in that year, yes I did forget

Ahh, actaully I wired a harness in the brown connector to power the eletronic air pump for the aux ports. I'
ve got a tee off those lines that runs to the VDI solenoid (well... brown one on the white harness now.)

Anyhow, took it for a drive, amazing how much extra power that VDI gives. Been about 5 months I've been running with out it. Its nice to have it back!!

Can someone add this to a FAQ or something, I keep having to come back it and spend forever trying to hunt it down.

The connectors are coloured, not the solenoids.
