What to Check/Replace When Buying FC
I was looking through the archives trying to find a thread i read a while back about What To Check/Replace when buying an FC that has been sitting for a while. No luck finding that post. I got one of my friends to buy a really clean looking FC (exterior) (88 gxl), problem is, everything besides the engine looks like it is in bad shape. NE ways, what should he Check/Replace starting from most important to least.
P.S my friend is a spoiled brat, and money isn't a problem.

First make certain the engine is in good condition. If not, better start there. Put a little oil in the chambers to give some lubrication, and new plugs while they are out. Try and start, then go from there once it's running. Depending on how long it's been sitting, it may be a good idea to change the oil/filter first. After you get it running, then go through all the maintenance items, hoses, belts, filters, brakes, trans fluid, check cooling system, etc.
