What can you tell me about my car?
I'm a big Miata fan and pretty familiar with Mazda overall, but I don't know that much about the 2nd gen Rx7 (FC). I recently was given one for free (long story). I'm not sure what year it is, how many miles it has, what package it is equiped with, if it's turbo or not, or even if it does or doesn't have a LSD. This is because it was given to me through email and I haven't checked it out yet.
So what I do know is that it is an FC for sure, it is a faded, light blue/gray, and the motor is fried so it needs a new 13B. So is there anything that can be said from that? Can someone at least tell me the name and code for this color (assuming it's OEM)?
I'm going to check the car out this weekend, so need to know what to look for....VIN, rare equipment, LSD, etc????
Also, if the car is beyond my restoration ability, then I'll probably end up guting and parting-out various pieces and building an autox car of some sort, so it would be nice to know how much different pieces usually go for on ebay/craigslist or the classifieds (i.e. seats, center console, motor and transmission, etc.)?
But again, my first concern is what I should look for when I check this car out. Thank you in advance for any help Cheers!

If the paint is original there should be a model identification decal under the drivers side rear view mirror, whether its a GXL, GTU, Turbo II, etc. Good Luck !!

Reserve judgement on "the engine is fried" part until you get a chance to look at it. Espicially if it is a N/A, a lot of them have been flooded and then get carbon locked and won't start. People think they're fried when they can be brought back to life and run quite well.
Turbo's on the other hand can also expirence this but normally when someone says a turbo engine is fried it really is.
