What can cuase an oil leak AND low pressure?

1989 Turbo II with Jspec 13BT

Its happening at the same time...Looks like its leaking from around the OMP or something but Im not sure. The oil pressure gauge in the car has read zero ever since the new engine was put in. Now theres a gauge under the hood though so I know Im getting pressure but its lower than spec...

Any ideas on what could cause an oil leak and low oil pressure at the same time? I know that the engine has the right amount of oil in it...And its not leaking out so fast that the leak itself would cause the drop in pressure...

Help me out

Who rebuilt the *new * engine?? Or is it just another engine out of another car?

OH! I just had an idea. You don't know where the leak is. Well, IF the large bolt that holds the front pulley on gets looses, it will cause low oil pressure and a leak at the bolt. Its a 19mm , maybe a 17mm. You need to go out to your car right now and put wrench on it to see if its loose. Takes a ratchet and socket. If that bolt is loose, it WILL COME OUT leaving you with no oil pressure and a ruined engine. Usually throws oil up towards the hood leaving a wet hood. Put the car in gear when tighening the bolt.

Sorry that this is kinda a side question, but what is the stock oil pressure gauge supposed to read at idle after it is warmed up?
