What BOV is everyone running?

I am installing a hybrid turbo and Haltech on my 10th anniversary T2, and I need a BOV that will handle up to 18 pounds of boost. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, what BOV is everyone else running and where did you order it from?

Kris

I am running the stock one open vented right now. i will probably move to a turboxs.

I had a chance to take a look at some Tial products this past weekend including a blowoff valve and dam that stuff is nice. Really high quality parts.

I am leaning towards Tial, but I would still like more input.

i have a blitz bov
it's not the newer style though
mine is the super sound bov or whatever it's call

it's ..hmm (what should i say?)...you know...it works...and it makes the puusshhhhhhh sounds...it's pretty cool...
my friend got it for me from japan, it was used and came with the piping for FC already, cost $80
it's worth it for my own entertainment.

if u r running 18 psi, then u might want to get a brand new one, caz when my friend came back from japan and got a bunch of used bov....(blitz, sard), we tested them, and some of them will leak when about 20psi, so they are in bad condition maybe, my car is running low boost, and there's no leak, so it's cool for me, or maybe it's blitz

caz sard one are pretty good, no leak till 40psi

do you have to test a BOV for leaks or does it make a Noise?

if it leaks at a pressure it will make like a normal air leaking noise...

but the noise is sooo small, so u probably need the bov in ur hand and get ur ear close to it to hear to leaking

i have the older blitz supersound. i like the way it sounds. not a high pitched whistle like some, more of just a fisssssh sound. im not sure how much boost it will hold. prolly enough for me tho.

HKS Super Sequential <- I have heard these may not do too well on high boost applications.
