what is the benefits of the rx8 eshaft?

In my mind this got a little bit off track. The original question was what was the benefit of using the X8 shaft? I think the weight has little to do with it, no you probably wont notice it, but you don't need to. Its lighter and stronger and is used in a car with a higher rpm operation. I think the benefit would be less wear and tear at high rpm and less worry when it comes to the rotating assembly. So the benefit is a little less weight, a little more strength, and little bit more reliability at high rpm.
