What are all the exhaust components?

alright just recently i have aquired a TII. im pretty sure there is a racing beat catback installed on the car because of the tips(say racing beat on em) and the y-pipe seems larger. what im wondering is i have searched for options and as far as i can tell there is the catback, test pipe, mid pipe, and dwn pipe. and as far as i can tell there is a cat, pre cat, silencer, presilencer, and mufflers. im trying to do a full turbo back exhaust with absolutely no emmisions equipment. so if i currently have a catback installed what will i need to fully replace the stock system? a downpipe, midpipe, and test pipe to replace the cat? am i missing anything? and just to clarify i want ABSOLUTELY no restrictions between the turbo and mufflers.

Get under the car and look carefully at what you've got. Then go to the RB website and look at the pictures of their Turbo exhaust components. Compare.

I dunno... it might be useful to have a comprehensive list on here of which companies exhaust products replace what stock pieces, and what they bolt right up to. Staring at your exhaust and the pictures for a while will help too (and probably more really) but it would still be a good tool for newbs.

well today i was out messing with the car and i was flipping through the FSM and i found some reciepts from RB and mazda trix. i called RB and gave them the part number listed for the exhaust that was purchased and apparently i have the full 3" turbo back exhaust installed. and the lady said that its a full straight through exhaust with no cats and only a presilencer. i was curious that if i replaced the presilencer with a straight pipe would i be gaining anything or would the car just be louder? and how much louder would it be?

do you believe you can create a better balance exhaust than racing beat?

I thought it was the mufflers?

Considering my car is ******* loud as hell without a RB cat-back.

And don't mess with the presilencer, you're exhaust setup is fine.

alright i was just curious because the exhaust does not sound as loud as most 3" exhausts ive heard. especially on my old talon i had a full 3" turbo back and it was 10 times louder than this exhaust.
