I can say that not everyone has had a sour experience with stock struts like yourself seemed to have had. lol. I know both of my FC's were just fine and performed well for what they were. Stock for stock they are superior to many other cars out of the box. Past and Present sports cars to a degree.

Standard features by year/model: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/specifications-what-did-2nd-generation-rx-7-come-w-options-standard-features-642372/

Turbos have 4.1 rear ends, along with most manual NAs, but the bolt patterns are different as well as LSD vs. Open configuration.

The springs or struts or stabilizer bars changed between the Turbo and non turbo models depending on year and model.

For example all the non turbo GXL models had remote adjustable struts standard, while the turbos did not in the USA. And the Convertibles used the same springs as a Turbo in 88, but that changed in 89-91 when the turbos used the same suspension as all the coupes regardless of if they were turbo or not.

But as far as the geometry... yes the basic geometry is the same regardless of model.
