Thanks!

What does the resistor do in the system??

Did an LS swap an using the RX7 fuel pump wiring. Can I eliminate the resistor??

If you did an LS swap already, you can use this or eliminate it. It is used by the factory ECU to reduce the fuel pump output at idle. Since the rx7s used a return loop fuel system instead of a dead head one, this reduced the pumping volume during low load so that y pi u aren't needlessly heating up your fuel tank. You can still use it on your car if you want. All you would need to do is set up a trigger wire to run the relay coil.

The resistor intentionally reduces the voltage to the fuel pump at idle/low load. This was a common design feature before PWM speed control to prolong pump life.

Sure, you can do whatever you want...it's a common modification to rewire the pump with more substantial wiring and bypass the resistor for those with a larger fuel pump requiring more power.
