What`s up! Engine frozen!
Drove car to work, ran fine all the way, temp fine, oil preasure fine. Shut it off and when I came out its frozen solid. Starter won`t turn it and you can`t turn it buy the crank. no movement at all! Pulled plugs and they look fine! Anyone ever heard of anything like this?
Its an 87 Turbo II with 70,000 Mi.

Carbon lock!!!
Not exactly uncommon by any means. Happened to me actually.
DO NOT TRY TO ROTATE IT FORWARD.
Pull the plugs, try to squirt any type of cleaner that dissolves carbon in there.
Let it sit for a while, and try to crack it BACKWARDS.
You have a chance of unseizing it.
You could also have somebody pull you backwards, and drop it into 1st gear, and let the clutch out- it could pop loose.
As long as you didn't reef on it like crazy in a forward direction, it could be OK. It's most likely a chunk of carbon that got dislodged and is binding.
Good luck!!

I actually havn`t had a chance to really look at it in detail yet, and no I didn`t really reef on it! This car has been babied all it`s life (maybe too much)and I can`t imagine it`s anything but carbon! I just had it towed home and its just setting there in the garage untill I have time to look at it more, I just thought I`d give you guys a try at figuring it out and offer sugestions first! I`ll put something into the rotors and let it sit overnight and see what happens! I`ve heard that Seafoam is a good softener of carbon, any other ideas?
