were to get silicone kit for 1991 rx7 S5

I heard that you could get the silicone kit at kragen auto parts for like
18.00 dollars but is it a good one
what i mean is worth it becuase i've seen others for like 100 dollars at other places but you have to order it

o and how much torque to you put on the flywheel nut

I always just buy generic hose kits in the colour I want. Generally I buy them made by "Vibrant".

The flywheel nut torque can be found in the Factory Service Manual. It's about 300 FT-LBS.

I would just get rubber. silicone will break down with oil/gas contact. unless you like the pretty colors. lol

Everyone says silicone hose breaks down in hydrocarbons but I've been running it since 1999 and have not had any issues. Many, many others have been running it for a lot longer then that. Obviously you don't want to use it for fuel hose...

Rubber, on the other hand, hardens and cracks surprisingly quickly in an engine bay.

It just seems to get real soft and I'm afraid that it would collapse and expand under vacuum or boost conditions.

yeah, rubber will crack.....

lets hard line everything. haha!
