Went drifting now car wont start.

I was in my friends 88 gxl with a s5 turbo II swap and we went drifting and when we entered a turn sideways the car just shut off.

The car is getting spark, but we still cahnged the plugs and wires.
The fuel pump is pushing fuel all the way through the fuel lines, but when it got to the fuel filter, we pulled the bottom hose and it poured fuel. Then we pulled the top hose and it didnt. so replaced that, it started working properly but still no start. I put my ear up to the injectors with a screwdriver to see if they were working, and they seem like they arent.
So any suggestions?

did u ever change the sock aka fuel filter in the gas tank... i've read bout fc's turning off when going to sharp into a turn.. then cutting back on after the turn..
and mostly that was the problem. but if you have fuel pass the pump and on the filter firewall i don't see why it wouldn't run.

+ 1 You said you don't think your injectors are firing. Maybe its the ground for the injector section of the harness that grounds on the top of the rear housing.

The fuel pump is pumping gas though.
it just keeps turning over.
so im pretty sure it wont be the sock, or a bad ground, or a grounding wire since it is pumping fuel.
but if im wrong lmk.

Spark

I would use an old trick- pull off a lead spark plug wire, stick in a spark plug you know works, hold it against ground on the block and (with your hands etc. away from anything that turns) have a pal turn the key to see if you get a spark. If you do you know the fuses, coils etc are working. If not, work back from there.

cars not flooded, pulled egi fuse+ pulled plugs and chanked, plugs are brand new, and the coils are making spark all the way to the plug. any chance my ecu pined out my injectors, it has been pinning stuff out for a little while now.

Hey, be nice. The thread isn't about bashing what he did with the car.

My personal recommendation is to check the sock, just because you're getting fuel doesn't mean you're getting *enough* fuel. Also, make damned sure you're getting spark.

Remove a fuel injector plug and check for power, if you have a scope or noid light you can easily check if the injectors are firing by cranking. With the ignition switch in the ON position you should see +12vdc on one lead @ the injectors, I can't remember which color wire. The ECU grounds the injector to open it.

So it's either there's no +12VDC at the injectors or the ECU is not grounding them as it should, isolate this first.
