Went from 2000 idle to no idle?

OK, my car was idling high at 2000 rpms. I go to work for a few hours & come back out. I start my car and put it in reverse & it dies. I start it back up and give it a good rev & let off & it dies again. So I start it again & just give it gas to keep it going & drive with my right foot on both the gas and brake the whole way home. The car runs fine as long as its running. What could this be? Thanks.

Have you made any adjustments recently? Why were you idling at 2000 (even when warmed up?).

I had a problem a long time ago with my air flow meter. When I first started it, it would rev high then immediately die. Ended up removing the AFM, inspecting it, and putting it back in. Worked OK after that (go figure).

Ya I messed with my home-made intake setup. Had part of it off and a huge intake leak. I fixed it and it idles at the normal 2000 rpms again. Now if I can get half way between the 2000 & the 0 rpms I will be fine
